The 3S AerialTramway US or 3S Cable Car Europe is an cabin aerialtramway which was developed by the Swiss company Roll transport systems in Thun to unite the advantages of a pendulum aerialtramway with their one normal, coupleable single rope cabin aerialtramway. Technical description of first systems The first plant of this type, called Alpine express I , was built in 1991 in Saas Fee . In 1994, a further section the Alpine express II became operational, however, a continuous service of both sections is not possible. The cabs of these plants have space for 30 persons and travel with a speed of 6 m s pulled by an endless hauling cable, and suspended from two carrying cables. A lane thus consists of three cables from which the system takes its name . As with most rotating cabin railways, gondolas are detachable from the cables in order to allow easy disembarkation without disrupting the transit of other cars on the system. The system offers the following advantages over less sophisticated aerial cable driven transportation systems lower energy consumption compared with to and from system aerial ropeways of similar capacity increased wind stability larger grund distances possible high driving speed in relation to unity express orbits Speeds over 7 m s are possible high passenger capacity Development and building of the Alpine express I cost 70 million Swiss franc SFr . The company of Roll built no more further 3S AerialTramway after the two systems in Saas Fee. It remained open until the end of the 1970s but then a series of closures saw fruitless attempts to reopen it in 1986 , 1988 and 1990 . It wasn t until the year 2000 that the national government gave concession to reopen it to coincide with the new Hotel Humboldt and Parque vila M gica, by the company Inversora Tur stica Caracas. In 2000 on this development, the reconstruction of all the system of the cableway began, as well as the one of the stations. There are now more than 70 cabins, and can travel 3.5 km in little more than 15 minutes. In August 2007 the concession was revoked and the park happens again to be in the hands of the State, renamed in October 2007 with the name Waraira Repano . Norsj aerialtramway is a 13.2 kilometre long aerialtramway cable car between rtr sk and Menstr sk in the Norsj Municipality in Sweden . Norsj aerialtramway went in service for passenger traffic in 1989 as a tourist attraction. It is a section of the longest ropeway conveyor in the world at 96 km, built in the 1940s by the predecessors of Boliden AB to transport buckets of ore from Kristineberg, Lycksele to Boliden . Between 1943 and 1987 this ropeway moved 12 million tons of ore concentrates containing copper, lead, zinc, sulphur, silver and gold. In technical terms, the Norsj aerialtramway is a bi cable gondola lift with detachable cabins suspended from a track rope and moved by a haul rope. The cabins can each carry four people at a speed of 10 km hour, taking 1h 45mins to ride one way. 3 km of the ride is above lakes and streams. Feldmoos Chli Titlis AerialTramway was an aerialtramway in Switzerland . It was built in 1979 by the Swiss company Habegger between Feldmoos and Chli Titlis for the erection of a communication facility on Chli Titlis. The aerialtramway was used for transporting goods with a weight up to 3.8 tons also for transporting up to 20 people. It used only a single vehicle. After completion of the facility the aerialtramway, which remained property of Habegger, was dismantled in 1986. The aerialtramway had five towers and a total diagonal length of 4675 metres. The support rope was installed on four towers, the upmost tower was only used for the return rope, in order to avoid its collision with the suspension ropes. The most important feature of this aerialtramway was that it used the longest span of all aerial tramways ever built with a length of 3467.1 metres. For this span field special markings were required every 100 metres, there was a red coil and every 500 metres an aircraft warning lights aircraft warning light . For their power supply a wind generator buffered by accumulators was used, which made technical problems at the beginning. The diametres of the both suspension ropes was 46 mm, that of the push rope was 38 mm. The drive was done by a DC engine with 301 kW in the valley station. The maximum speed of the gondola was 6 m s to 10 m s. Citations missing article date May 2009 A T aerial is an antenna radio used for VLF, LF, MF and shortwave transmission or reception. It consists of a horizontal wire suspended between and insulated from two radio masts and towers radio masts or towers . A vertical wire is connected to the middle of the horizontal wire and hangs down close to the ground, where it is connected to the transmitter or receiver. The two wires form a T shape, hence the name. Sometimes a group of parallel wires, known as a cage, is used instead of a single wire. This reduces the Q factor of the antenna and broadens the bandwidth over which it will provide good impedance matching . unreferenced date November 2007 The Ungerer Tramway was the first electrical tramway in Munich . It was built by engineer and owner of the Ungerer Bath, August Ungerer to connect the bath with the 750m distant stop of the horse powered tramway. The 1.2 km long Ungerer Tramway existed from 1 July 1886 to June 1895, when it was adjusted because of the extension of the horse tramway until to the north cemetery. The current supply was made with x volt as at the Gross Lichterfelde Tramway by the rails, which began only some meters after the last stops, which were increased. Thus for a start of the trip the brakes were loosened, whereby the train loose rolled by the force of gravity, before it began to drive electrically. The vehicle shed with the clock tower for the two green motor coaches with gold ornament and two summer cars still stood in the year 1944. coord 48.171 N 11.596 E display title source dewiki Category Rail transport in Munich Category Tram transport in Germany Category History of rail transport in Germany Category Railway companies established in 1886 Category Railway companies disestablished in 1895 de Ungererbahn ... more details
