Unreferenced date April 2009 The NewEnglandJournal on Criminal and Civil Confinement was founded in 1973 as the NewEnglandJournal on Prison Law. After a series of informal seminars dealing with prison law at NewEngland School of Law in 1972, faculty and students decided to begin the nation s first journal dealing exclusively with prisons. The Journal began as a forum for prisoners, prison officials, lawyers, judges, law students and others to discuss their views on the legal problems facing the prison system, prisoners, and prison officials. In 1982, the Journal changed its name to the NewEnglandJournal on Criminal and Civil Confinement in order to accurately reflect its expanding perspective. Consequently, the Journal entered a new era in becoming the leading voice for the advancement of new ideas in the fields of criminal, juvenile, evidence, and civil commitment law. In addition to publishing scholarly works on confinement, the Journal now publishes timely articles contributing to the legal discourse of criminal law and procedure as well as criminal issues arising in other areas of law including, but not limited to, military law, mental health, immigration, and international law. The Journal has consistently been ranked as one of the top criminal law journals in the nation and remains the only specialty journal that specifically addresses issues of civil confinement law. All published articles are indexed and appear in Westlaw, Lexis, the Index to Legal Periodicals, and Contents of Current Legal Periodicals. Additionally, outstanding Journal articles may be recognized in the Worth Reading column of the National Law Journal. The articles published in the Journal address new and changing areas of law. Contributors include both legal scholars from across the nation as well as associate members of the Journal. The group was best known for the song Don t Ever Wanna Lose Ya , which received heavy radio exposure on Album oriented rock AOR stations and reached the Top 40 in 1979. Hello, Hello, Hello also received some airplay. The debut album was released on Infinity Records INF 9007. The quartet formed in the Boston area and was discovered by manager Bill Aucoin, who also managed Kiss band Kiss . Paul Stanley helped produced the debut album along with famed producer Mike Clay Stone , best known for his work with Queen band Queen and Asia band Asia . Guitarist and vocalist John Fannon was the leader of the band. The group had a live stint supporting the falling but still high profile Kiss, but NewEngland unfortunately slid between the cracks of other Aucoin projects. The group s success stalled when their label Infinity Records was absorbed by its parent company, MCA Records , in 1979. The group moved to Elektra Records for their next release, Explorer Suite . The second album garnered almost no notice, but has since become a sought after CD by AOR fans. Fact date August 2007 Todd Rundgren s production on the harder rocking third album Walking Wild also failed to improve sales. NewEngland then dissolved with Shea and Waldo ending up in Alcatrazz . The album was also issued on CD in 1998 by the re issue label Renaissance Records . The CD contains an un marked bonus track, a different extended mix of Don t Ever Wanna Lose Ya . Method A typical clam bake or clambake begins with gathering seaweed traditionally rockweed Ascophyllum nodosum at the shoreline seaweed is an important adjunct to cooking the food. To keep the seaweed fresh, it is necessary to have a container large enough to hold both the seaweed and a fair amount of sea water. Also important are several round medium sized stones, or sometimes cannon balls, which are heated in the fire and used to re radiate heat during the cooking process. Lastly, like most other methods of steaming , a cover is necessary to allow the trapped heat and steam to thoroughly cook the food. Canvas tarps or potato sacks soaked in sea water are often used for this purpose. Once the stones and seaweed have been collected, a fire pit is prepared.
