Eyra \Ey"ra\, n. [Native South American name.] (Zo["o]l.)
   A wild cat (Felis eyra) ranging from southern Brazil to
   Texas. It is reddish yellow and about the size of the
   domestic cat, but with a more slender body and shorter legs.
