Encephalopathy \En*ceph`a*lop"a*thy\, n. [Gr. 'egke`falos the
brain + pa`schein, paqei^n, to suffer.] (Med.)
Any disease or symptoms of disease referable to disorders of
the brain; as, lead encephalopathy, the cerebral symptoms
attending chronic lead poisoning.
